The coastal road towards Elounda offers views across Mirabello Bay. Elounda has cafés, restaurants and a harbour, while smaller Plaka looks directly towards Spinalonga.

Visiting Spinalonga
Spinalonga preserves the remains of a Venetian fortress and later became known as a leprosy settlement. Its walled streets and views across the bay make it a memorable historical visit.
Bring water, sun protection and suitable shoes. Shade is limited and the stone surfaces can be uneven.
